We met in 2023 in Vietnam, of all places! Both passionate travellers, Ione was there for a two-week adventure and Scott for two months (he definitely had the better idea). As fate would have it, we met on day one of our trips and the rest is history. Six months later, we were in Australia, packing up the car and setting off on an east coast road trip together.
During that trip starting in Cairns and finishing in Melbourne, having to jump between multiple search sites, calling up campsites to make reservations often with awful signal or waiting sometimes days for email confirmations of bookings, it occurred that there needs to be an easier way to quickly and simply book our next caravan site and lo and behold, find my campsite was born!!

From holidays as a kid with Nana and Popa setting up their 1956 Roma which would take around two hours, to more recently with a new Roma that comparatively feels like it could set itself up at the touch of a button. “Growing up with three siblings, every year we’d load up our 8-seater van packed to the brim with camping gear and hit the road. Those trips were everything. Staring out the window for hours, playing endless rounds of eye-spy, and yes of course, the occasional sibling squabble.
But then we’d arrive, each of us with our own little job to help set up, and just like that the holiday magic began. Weeks spent swimming in pools, rivers, and beaches, exploring local towns, drawing, reading, and playing card games with our parents under the stars. That was our kind of holiday simple, grounding, and full of connection. It’s those memories that shaped my love for travel and it’s that kind of experience I want to help all travellers discover and fall in love with too.”
